I thought it was a distant sun, twinkling
low in the blank night sky hidden by my own dim sight, blinded a mountain before me lie and houses, too, half way up its side but seldom now am I thus deceived as I gaze out on each day's eve it is not stars that I perceive but instead reminded am I of my folly and one truer celestial body eternal before the midnight eye
